Brief Background
ITVYP stands for; It takes a Village Youth and Parents.
It Takes a Village Youth and Parents is a community interest company (CIC) formed to support youth and parents from Migrant Marginalised Communities living in the UK.
Having worked in the field of health and social care for over a decade, we have witnessed several challenges among our communities in the accessibility of basic services, upbringing of our children and embracing the new cultures.
This prompted us to come up with the idea of ITVYP to try and bridge the ever widening generational gap. This initiative dates as far back as 2014 when our services were based on individual desires to affect changes in our community.
However what originally started as individual aspirations based in homes, places of worship, community centres has progressively been appreciated by various parents, hence the need for us to incorporate ITVYP as a community Interest Company as of 2024.
