IT Takes a Village Youth and Parents’ is a community interest company (CIC) formed to support youth and parents from Migrant Marginalised Communities living in the UK.
Migrant families are more likely to be disadvantaged than the British born according to the office of the National statistics and are more likely to suffer from; domestic violence, struggle with parenting, issues of cultural and generational gaps, Youth offending, Mental health, teenage pregnancy, poor and risky lifestyles, poor health outcomes etc.
Aims: Our aim is to support the community by trying to bridge the gap between youth and parents, in addressing several social problems.
Mission: Empower and elevate the welfare and wellbeing of the community.
Cultural and generational Gaps
Cultural and generational gaps affect communication between parents and children, mums and dads, siblings, and guiding as opposed to patronising
Crime prevention, financial literacy
Workshops and seminars will allow the youth to establish supportive social networks, with other members of the community that can help or mentor them in career pathways.
